However, despite the neverending, building load of trouble that each scar on Danielle's body -be it from self harm or surgeries- brings both Demi and Danielle, Demi never gives up, as she strives to teach Danielle the fault, in her scars.

Metaphorically, most people would say their life is a story. I used to be one of those people; I knew that a story is a story, and you don't get to choose or change whatever goes on in it. But, at the same time, I wished for a new start; to leave all bad memories and people who have done me bad behind. I wanted to travel; see new places, different arts, different music touching hearts. I aspired to meet new people who would show me what it was to love and be loved in return. I dreamed of leaving it all behind, to erase my book back to the cover, and re-write my story as I pleased.
