When Eliana and her village are forced to relocate to a "camp" , heartache and pain are the only comforters to remind them they're still alive. Deaths, hard times, and a little bit of love are the only things she has to hold onto.. Will she make it out alive? --Based on The Holocaust. PLEASE NOTE- I HAVE FINALLY FINISHED THE EDITING FOR THIS PIECE AS OF 5/3/2016. It is NOT perfect. I wrote this story when I was 12, and NO it is not ALL historically accurate, but that is the point of a fiction piece. Do not tell me what is and isn't "realistic." I don't care.

Iyana Thompson has just arrived at her new college, Avery University. And much to the persuasion of her older brother Tyreke. He hasn't failed to tell her that he is the leader of blacks on the campus because there is a race war. Tyreke's rival, the leader of the whites, is Matthew Carter. Soon, Iyana catches the eye of Matthew's brother, Landon Carter. Iyana's room mate, Jaenay, warns them not to date, but Iyana pays her no mind. Will their love survive the racial hate on campus? I'm also writing a fanfic about Leonardo DiCaprio. TRUST ME, it's not cliche with him being prince charming or a bad boy turned good by some random girl in high school. Along the way, they face a lot of obstacles, and it includes a lot of true events in Leo's life and true facts and things about him. Every comes with a stunning pic of Leo. ;)

“Like the howl of an accordion—half sorrow and half joy, wondrous and exquisite—these stories squeezed my heart.” —Sandra Cisneros, author of "The House on Mango Street" * In "Once More to the River," Erasmo Guerra writes a moving account of his boyhood on the Texas-Mexico border. An award-winning novelist and journalist, Guerra explores present-day political and cultural realities, and recounts the shattering loss his family suffered when his teenage sister was murdered. Told with lyrical prose and a reporter’s ear for the “Tex-Mex” language of the region, these stories capture the voices of South Texas. By turns humorous and haunting, powerful and tender, this collection is an intensely personal chronicle of tragedy and the triumph of survival.
