I wrap my small arms around his neck and bury my face into his shoulder. He hugs me tightly and carries me away from the forest. "Why can't we go into the forest?" I ask, looking over his shoulder to see the red and gold leaves slowly disappear from view as we climb the hill. "The forest is a dangerous place," he sighs. I was the 6th-grade "slut." And I kept a diary. So I decided to create The UnSlut Project in the hopes that my own diary entries could provide some perspective to girls who currently feel trapped and ashamed. I am publishing these entries one at a time, without changing a single word except for the names of the people involved. My limited commentary, which is confined to brackets in each entry, is meant to provide the relief of my current perspective, fifteen years later. The UnSlut Project: Working to undo the dangerous slut shaming in our schools, communities, media, and culture by sharing knowledge and experiences.

" Come on Mir give us a chance I want you to be mine hold you in my arms forever to make you happy and just live every moment with you, when I first saw you and started talking to you I thought you were going to be like every other girl but your not your different full of mysteries and you just make me feel things I have never felt for anybody before. I want you so bad " Alex's explains with pure sincerity in his voice. I really want to be with him it's just how do I know that I'm just some girl. I have grown to like him inside and out and know things that nobody else does and I can't help but feel the love I have for him. I stay quiet no knowing what to say but then the unexpected happens he kisses me softly. Showing me he that every word he had just said. Our lip move together in sync and it just a nice sweet kiss. He breaks the kiss and stares at my grey eyes and what he says next surprise me even more. " I love you Angel" he says.

All the girls are going crazy, imagining all the case scenarios from cliché YA books: mysterious, rebel, bad boy, werewolf, fallen angel, even vampire! The worst part, I don't even think they have read the books; they only watched the films. However, it doesn't make much difference to me, it's not like he is going to see me. No one sees me. "So, you're a stripper?" "Yup." Molly is struggling to stay on her feet. After her mom leaves, she's left to take care of her little brother, and since they're on the verge of being homeless, she's forced to get a job outside of McDonald's. A strip club to be specific. Between shifts where she takes off her clothes for guys, she still has to go through high school, alone, and unhappy. But when a cute, and kinda dopey, guy who knows her from both of her lives seems interested, it just adds more to her heaping plate- a little too much for her to handle. Highest ranking: #9 in teen fiction.
