Vehrehl, one of the phantasmal, and mysterious Faen, has trained years of life away for this task. There is nothing which will get in the way of righteous Retribution. Carrying the blade of Ahlbehdohn- a beloved, but now silenced brother, Vehrehl traverses strange kingdoms with only Kahuehtah, a splendid sky-born Griffin as company. The two are nearly at the verge of capturing their target, when chance has other such things in store for the two. Etain, the crown princess of Louone brings their mission to a stand still, when Vehrehl is forced to save her, and Vehrehl is ultimately brought into the service of the Royal family. Bound by duty, yet torn by purpose, Vehrehl serves the Princess as her guardian. When the Kingdom falls into upheaval, however, Vehrehl must fight between two choices- continue to serve the now helpless, abandoned princess, or exact her own vengeance, which was the reason they were sent into the Lands of humans in the first place. In a story of lies, deceit, and acts of valor, two friends fight not only for survival, but for unyielding glory. (I'm not sure yet if it is going to be a romantic Fantasy or not; I'll let the story decide that for itself. ALSO, please keep in mind that this work is a rough draft.
