My name is Renae Genoa. I seem like an ordinary girl but I lead an extraordinary life. Especially after getting tangled up this whole Winter Soldier business. It's really what brought me out of the dark. Not just about myself but the world.*The picture for the story is not mine. All I did was enhance a few things and put the title of my story at the top. My OC is mine but the other characters belong to Marvel. Spoilers for Captain America 2.* Thanks to Retired_Watpad_Writr for this awesome cover! All credit for the cover goes to this amazing person! :D

You probably know him as Robin. That's what everyone knows him as. Many call him the Boy Wonder, a prodigy, a blessing on Gotham, bird boy, Batman's right hand man, the bat brat... Heck, you might even know him as Dick Grayson. Because that's what I knew him as. He was my best friend. Or at least I thought he was. I understand why he left. I really do. His parents died right in front of his eyes. But he didn't have to leave me. No letters, no phone calls, no contact at all. I loved him; I was nine years old and I knew I loved him. So when he left, his hurtful words stinging my heart, I was broken. And as soon as I saw the Boy Wonder on the news, I knew right away. I had to see him. Prove him wrong. So that's why I put on the mask.

"Lexi..."' he started. "I have to know. Do you want to be with me anymore?" "I-" I cut myself off. I didn't know what to say. I wanted to say "I love you more than my own life! I want that more than anything." Because it's the truth. But I was afraid. I couldn't. He groaned, standing up and pacing up and down the isle. He looked so stressed, so upset. I stood up and placed a hand on his chest, stopping him in his tracks. "Fine. Tell me this." He sighed, looking me in the eyes. "Do you love me?" I didn't have to hesitate for that one. "Of course I do. But-" He grabbed my upper arm, making me stop."That's all that I needed to hear." --------------------------------------------------------------------- It's been over two years since Lexi left me. Two years since I last saw her face, heard her laugh. Now, with my back up against the wall and the Team falling apart, I know that I need her. I know that I need to call in my favor. But can I put aside my feelings for her to save the world? Will I have to? I told her that I loved her, and she said that she loved me too, but then she left. But she promised. Promised that one day we could be together again. I swore to myself that I'd make her mine again. And I'm sure going to try.
