Cerita ini terinspirasi dari sebuah drama musikal Idola cilik 2008 yang kemudian penulis kembangkan. Cerita ini mulai ditulis sejak tahun 2009 sebagai sebuah fanfict Idola Cilik sehingga semua pemain utamanya adalah anak-anak IC. Promise adalah karya fiksi pertama penulis yang ditulis 10 tahun lalu. Ini adalah karya tempat penulis pertama belajar menulis dan menjadi saksi bagaimana 10 th proses perkembangan penulis step by step di setiap partnya, sehingga mungkin perubahan-perubahan gaya penulisan mungkin akan dirasakan sepanjang cerita ini.
