Book One of the Panacea Series ✰✰✰✰ "When I....started to exist...." The phrase had an alien feeling to it. "The first thing I saw was a beach, isolated in the middle of a cavern full of water. I....walked for a bit, and I talked to a woman. She was dark skinned, like myself, with long purple hair. Every time she moved, it was like every strand of hair was....ablaze. It was just sort of neon, and bright." It was a strange description, but I nodded. "She told me, that she made me. I was like an extra limb." Mel brushed a few strands of raven hair from her eyes, but didn't move the curtain that separated us. "In a sense, she said she was the body. Just the torso, with no arms, legs, or head." "And you're what? Her arm, or....?" Mel shrugged. "I don't know. She just....described me as being a step to helping her stand up, and function. I did the math, and....if I'm one limb...." I was wondering when she would get to a point that would answer all my questions, but remained patient. "There are four other limbs. Probably....like you." ✰✰✰✰ The first one was a Sentinel, sent up to watch over a playing piece. The second was a Warrior, sent up to rise with armies. The third was a Treasurer, sent up to gather an arsenal. The fourth? She's defective, lost, and doesn't know her own name. ☆☆☆☆ Very messy story: Ill leave it up for critisism, though, since Im still working on it and editting

"Annavi watched him from the bottom of the stairs. The room they were in was empty, aside from the pile of building supplies on the floor. Jacque began to trifle through the pile of boards, ropes, nails and tools. She continued to watch him, suddenly feeling very unsafe. It was just the two of them. If it came to it, she wouldn't be able to fight back. Why did her curiosity lead her here? He apparently didn't find what he was looking for, and went back up the stairs. She trailed behind like a lost dog. Her thoughts had collected significantly. She felt less cornered, and much less trapped now that they were above deck of the massive boat. What was the boat's purpose, anyway? A question was in order. "Why are you building this?" He turned around and grinned. "I've always wanted to sail the salty seas, yar-har." Normally Annavi wouldn't make arrangements to meet strange men in the woods who promised her a trip on a flying boat. Especially not with the danger that lurked at the edge of the woods. With every visit to the Drop and the so-called flying boat, Annavi came closer to the promise of an undesired death; risking the fall from the Drop she had been warned about. But of course, she continued to temp fate, without any care that wasn't associated with the boat. She should have guessed that something would go wrong. ... I'm extremely lazy so updates aren't really that regular. Sometimes there are random bursts of activity, sometimes it takes a week or two. Thanks for being patient! All art featured in this book was done by me.

" we're friends right? well, you can't really tell me otherwise anyway, which is probably why we're friends. " Or the story of an overenthusiastic boy called Phil, who has trouble shutting up, and a reluctantly mute boy called Dan, who's life is falling apart, and how they both come to realise that sometimes - actions can speak louder than words.
