Indian girls are generally expected to study to a certain level, possibly work for some time and BAM! get married and have kids. What if said Indian girl wishes to do something more? What if she wants to stand on her own two feet? What if she wishes to live life her way and ignore her annoying relatives' qualms about her so-called 'unacceptable behavior'? Enter Ana Desai. Age 21, B.E in comp science with an astounding 9.6 CGPA (though the society *cough* annoying relatives *cough* feels she should've tried harder, but then again, they'd probably feel the same even if she'd got 10) and smartarse extraordinaire. Yep, she's a nerd. But not the kind of nerd you're used to. This sassy lass chooses (in spite of being harangued by the 'society') to pursue her M.S in comp science, instead of the usual IT company route that many take. Everything seems peachy in the beginning, but what happens when a certain green-eyed asshole (that she may or may not like-like) lights a fire under her bloated ego? Sparks fly, that's what. No, really. Literal sparks. And daggers. And guns. And tanks. Cover by: AprilDanfields (Thank you so much! It's so relevant to the story!) A/N- Highest Rank: 62 in General Fiction.

Aashni Sharma is one of those girls who seem to get everything without any effort. She is smart, pretty, popular - and can sometimes be a bitch. So when she tells her friends, she plans to spend her senior year at high school being committed to her books rather than boys, gossip and her social life - its not unreasonable that they find it hard to believe. Siddhant Ahuja is the charming new guy at Aashni's school and when Siddhant first meets Aashni at Caffenista, she intrigues him in a way that no other girl has. He vows to make her fall for him. The problem is - Aashni is in love with someone else - her ex Ranveer. Can Aashni really resist Siddhant’s charm and get back Ranveer, all while still getting top marks in her exams? Or does fate have something else in store for her?
