Diluent: Liquids used to thin down paint, such as turpentine or white spirit of oils and water for water-based paints. Or in this case, thinning down his opaque walls. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You knew him. I knew him. Whether or not it was that you simply knew of him, or personally. The boy who never failed to sit at the front of every class. The boy who never hurt a fly, and yet endured much more pain than he deserved. But something happened over the course of those two short months of summer before senior year. Something that might as well have altered his very core. Gone are the sweater vests and glasses, only to be replaced by tattoos and a bad ass glare. Hidden behind those newly inked works of art is the real Harry, and I’m willing to see through them. I’m willing to be his diluent.

“In life, there are turning points. Moments where the plan you had set for yourself is thrown into a blazing fire, leaving nothing but a scrappy piece of parchment with the edges singed and the words illegible. You can’t anticipate these things, so there’s no preparing. There was a time when I had it all figured out. It was my senior year of high school, and my grades were high and expectations rising with them. No one in my family had gone to University, and I would the first with a full ride scholarship to Queens. But I fucked it all up, in just one night. Hannah, one of my friends at the time, had thrown a big graduation party where the entire senior class was invited. We all wanted to end our four years together with a bang. Laughing, alcohol, lust, and mistakes. Here I am now, twenty years old with a fatherless two year old girl. Charlotte Isis Peirce, born September 13th 2011. My parents abandoned me, my friends isolated me, and University slipped through my fingers. But I will never regret her.” Riley Peirce is a twenty year old single mother, putting all her effort and time into making sure her daughter is happy and loved, while providing for both roles of mother and father. The only times she left Charlotte was when her neighbor, Red, would babysit while Riley went off to work at the little book store down the street. In a snap decision for a night out, she meets Emerson. A spoiled momma’s boy who has the world in the palm of his hand. He wants pizza? The private jet would depart in the next ten minutes for Chicago’s finest deep dish. In the mood for some new clothing? Italy’s top designers are only a speed dial call away. Responsibility isn’t in his dictionary, and it’s the only one in Riley’s. But after that one night, Emerson wants her. And he gets what he wants. So now he’s in for a Chocolate Chase.

If you ever wanna meet a boy who is the spitting image of an actor, you might wanna pick another dream. Pretty boys don't always have such a pretty personality. Leander may have a cute face and a rockin' body, but he certainly is not the "southern gentleman" he claims to be. He doesn't think much of Kodi, either, not that she's distraught over it. Though she can't imagine why he would up and decide to hate her, either. Just when you think you're done with the small town of Lewisburg, Tennessee, there's another story that needs sharing. Leander and Kodi are an odd couple....perhaps that's why they aren't a couple at all. But perhaps people aren't always what they seem. [NOT a sequel to "Missed Me, Missed Me. Now You Gotta Kiss Me]
