Silent Regrets

"When we get older and turn eighteen, let’s have a big wedding in the clouds!”
“Why on a cloud?” The boy asked, feeling completely confused. He didn't know why she would fill his mind with utter nonsense yet he couldn't help but smile at the thought.
“Because clouds are high up in the air! It feels like I’m escaping reality. There are no problems or fears. You can just say what you want. Plus, they’re really fluffy!” She giggled lightly. She looked up and smiled at him, her blue eyes gleaming with pure happiness and excitement. “So how about it? Let’s get married, on a cloud far away from here. We’ll even have a castle and you’ll be my prince, and I’ll be your princess. We’ll have an amazing love story and live happily ever after because we’ll love each other!” She squealed happily. “Promise?” She asked while holding up her pinky finger.
He sighed and locked his finger with hers. “I promise. We’ll get married one day.”
But then again, aren't promises made to be broken and forgotten?
