Now available in paperback! "I LOVE IT!" - CarniaHolmes "I'm going to break your nose, because I don't like your face," Carter said. She pointed to Zac. "I'm going to dislocate your other shoulder, just to make them even." She cocked her head and gave the main guy a sickly sweet smile. "I'm going to break your wrist, taking away your baseball career. And finally you, Finch," she said, looking to the last guy. "I'm going to bust your ankle because I don't like the way you walk." She slid her hands into her pockets. "Now, how does that sound to all of you? And please feel free to look amused, skeptical or patronizing at this point. I'll have all the more fun wiping the expressions off your faces." Carter Owens, daughter of a Secret Service agent, is trained to disassemble any weapon, any situation, and anyone. Her biting sarcasm and razor-sharp mind make her impossible to beat in a word fight and when talking doesn't work, she uses her fists. She attends Hamilton Prep, Washington D.C.'s most prestigious high school, where everyone is related to someone in power, except her. When Hamilton Prep receives a flood of new students, Carter's role as social outcast changes when she makes two unexpected friends. Friends who are hiding a secret. As Carter uncovers the truth, she confronts challenges she is unequipped to handle and finds herself in a dangerous situation. For a girl trained to see everything, Carter never saw this coming. 2016 WATTY AWARD WINNER - HQ LOVE THE TERM SHEET is a fast-paced technothriller about entrepreneurship, startups, encryption, and the delicate balance between national security and individual privacy. Its complex characters explore thought-provoking questions about the role of technology in an ever-changing society. Step into the high-stakes game played by today's technology innovators, who push the envelope and risk it all. Get ready, this thrilling book gives you a taste of what startups are really like. _____________________________________________________ David Alexander, a young programmer in Portland, Oregon, loathed his job. Computer programming had always come naturally, but being an employee never suited him. So he tried entrepreneurship instead. After making a series of embarrassing blunders, David finally hit on a startup idea that stuck: encrypted chat. Sure there were alternatives, but as Edward Snowden has shown us, most of them (willingly or unwillingly) have backdoors for spies and bad guys. A new approach made David's app one of the most secure options out there, which caught the attention of many people, including Shawn Douglas from the Secret Service. Shawn Douglas worked with eight different presidents, preventing twenty assassination attempts, forty-three terrorist plots and two bullets. When he was promoted to a desk job overseeing and organizing travel, he picked up on a cryptic email thread that hinted at a threat to the President's life. In a race to unravel the conspiracy, Shawn and David both have to make some difficult decisions. Will Shawn stop the terrorists in time? Will David be able to navigate his startup out of a crisis and keep his entrepreneurial dream alive? Or will fate deal them both a crushing hand? Read the book to find out.

⚠️ May contain mature language & content*** From an outsider's perspective, South Korea is a beautiful, wealthy country - a national leader in economic and resource development. But, behind every successfully run country there are secret organizations and powerful people that govern it. The country would simply crumble without the leadership and wealth of two of the richest families in Korea: The Parks and the Jeons. These two families run the two largest corporate companies in South Korea and have the potential to rule all of Asia with their combined resources; however, they have been sworn enemies for the past three decades. The Parks control the East side of Seoul while the Jeons occupy the west - any trespassing into enemy territory is punishable by death. The Parks have monopolized the electricity, food and mining industry whereas the Jeons have strict control over the technology, retail, gas and oil industry. At the surface level, the Parks and Jeons run respectable, multi-million-dollar companies, but underneath it all, both sides have underground organizations (AKA gangs) that do their "dirty work". The leadership of these gangs could only be entrusted to the sons and heirs to their family companies: Park Jimin and Jeon Jungkook. Although Jimin and Jungkook despise each other just as much as their fathers, they had always kept their distance and blatantly ignored each other's groups. However, the firm boundaries these families worked so hard to enforce begin to blur as Jeon Jungkook finds himself falling in love with Park Jimin's sister, Park Chaeyoung. #SerendipityAwards

Formerly titled Butterfly ~~~ When former reporter Melody Tsushima was sentenced to twenty months in prison, she hadn't expected to be sent to Versailles. Cooking soups and planting daffodils, after all, was strange. But all par for the course at the so-called "Palace at Versailles," an old mansion equal parts prison and psychiatric ward for incarcerated young adults. And Melody certainly hadn't expected her own special assignment: to write the stories of her fellow patients. A girl who truly knows what it means to be different. A young woman with wounds that run far deeper than skin. A boy whose heart is much too big for his damaged body. A young woman who sees the world as it could be, not as it is. A boy with too many souls living in him. A boy with universes in his mind. All of them are unique, and all of their stories will change Melody. // Note: this story was formerly a completed story in the fanfiction category. This version has been rewritten to be original fiction. Due to the request of readers, the previous story chapters have been unpublished, rather than deleted.
