Marie Jackson and her brother, Wesley Jackson just moved to Skullbone, Tennessee away from the Black Dawn pack. They moved from California, where the Black Dawn pack is because that pack killed their parents. Where Marie and Wesley moved to it has another pack called Midnight Rose pack and the alpha name is Cole Smith.

Melody is a 5 year old pup abandoned by her rogue parents at the age of 3 because they couldn't be bothered to take care of her anymore. Jeremy is a 20 year old alpha of the New Moon Valley pack. One day while investigating the recent reports of a rogue on the territory he stumbles upon Melody playing in the valley. What does Alpha Jeremy do? He adopts her but little does he know it's harder than it looks to raise a child; especially a wolf pup.
