Set in a futuristic pirate world, 'Blue' is about a young mechanic, Faia, aboard the pirate ship, the 'Restless', and how it all started when she helped save a mermaid. But that's not exactly true. What happens when this world is ruled by the Terra government, responsible for the enslavement of the merpeople to mine for rare minerals in the depths of the ocean? What happens when the merpeople rise up to fight for their freedom? And what happens to the pirates who are allied to the merpeople, to the Rebellion? Winner of the Young Writers Short Story competition (2014)!

Christine Evans doesn't remember why she played her hand in the suicide game, or why the boy with eyes of red urged her to. Christine Evans couldn't understand why, on the anniversary of that same attempted suicide, a boy with eyes of indigo appeared seemingly out of nowhere and why he looked so damn familiar. Christine Evans, as surely all heroines are, is special and caught in a dance between two men with eyes of colour no eyes should have any business being. What might be the price of the truth behind an attempted suicide and the cost of understanding the mystery around Red and Indigo? Christine Evans may just have to risk more than her soul to find out. My days, is this blurb pretentious enough...please do let me know...

~ Winner of Wattys 2015 Hidden Gem Award , The JOURNEY THAT BEGINS THE FIREBIRD CHRONICLES. "You are my daughter, and you have grown up so kind and innocent and just," she said, "You are everything I could have wished for. But it is not enough. The King will take your kindness, and use it to crush you. He will trick you with your innocence and perverse justice as we know it. You will die as you are now. Do you hear me, Lumina? You must become stronger. One day you must become Queen." Lumina, a young thief, is desperate to find her best friend and sister, Reia, when she vanishes one night in the woods. Following her trail, Lumina finds herself travelling across the mysterious floating island, a kingdom within the clouds that is inhabited by angels. The kingdom has fallen to an oppressive ruler with a dark magic. Fabian, a powerful elemental lord, enrols Lumina, an eligible candidate for Queen, in the fight for the throne. Instead of finding Reia, Lumina discovers that friendship, love and adventure lurk at every corner, and a journey intended to find another is really about finding herself. 'Triton State Mental Institute,' the sign read. Big black letters on a cold metal gate, not old, not welcoming, just perfect for the hospital of lunatics. You could stand at the gate and still hear the screams of the tortured. A two mile radius of the compound brought a trick-escape perimeter, 'No one enters or leaves, valid staff.', a dirty, scrappy, hand-printed sign sitting on the barbed fence. Oh, was it ever true, once you entered, you never left. (PG, PG-13. Reader discretion is advised.)

Noon is your average, everyday psychopath who fell in love with her hero. She knows when he tries to kill her, it's just his special way of saying how much he cares. She knows every time he throws her in the insane asylum, it's just his overprotective side wanting to keep her close. She knows when he stabbed her in the heart, it was his declaration of love. But the Gentleman is a shy man. He just won't admit his feelings. Noon has tried to coax him out with flowers. She has tried cheesy Hallmark cards. She has tried pushing him in front of a moving train. Nothing has worked. Until now. On a very special day, Noon throws a very special dinner. The food has been prepared. The decorations have been placed. The guests have been kidnapped. All that's left is to wait for the guest of honor to arrive.
