Vic Fuentes never thought anything bad would happen to him. He had a pretty decent life; star-player of the soccer team at his high school, good grades, girls swooning over him. Vic never really took danger precautions seriously. One drunken night, he’s dared to go into the woods alone in the middle of the night while drunk to sleep there. That’s the night when his mindset about danger changed. Kellin Quinn-Bostwick was always the loner boy. His life was as low as someone’s life could get; abusive parents, bad grades, no friends. He was also openly gay. People never tried to tease him or taunt him about it; or about anything, for that matter. Everyone knew Kellin could kill–literally. He watches Vic and his drunken friends near the woods and decides, without thinking, how to ruin their night. He doesn’t know it yet, but Kellin only made Vic’s night better. schiz·o·phre·ni·a: a long-term mental disorder of a type involving a breakdown in the relation between thought, emotion, and behavior, leading to faulty perception, inappropriate actions and feelings, withdrawal from reality and personal relationships into fantasy and delusion, and a sense of mental fragmentation. In which Vic Fuentes is a twenty-one year old man diagnosed with schizophrenia living within a psychiatric hospital, and Kellin is an obnoxious twenty year old burnout who somehow finds himself in Vic's room every afternoon.

Three years. that's all it's taken for Vic Fuentes to lose hope in the guy he once loved. Kellin Quinn, now 24, is pursuing his dream and love of music, but times are hard for them both. Vic, who still does therapy has not moved on since that morning he awoke to find no Kellin in his bed. Kellin though, he was long gone. Now in a steady relationship with Oliver Sykes, Kellin's mind hasn't slipped back to Vic, not yet anyways. But it will.
