It is two thousand long years into the future. There is no more Earth. There is only Callistra. Since the conclusion of the fae civil war that decimated the human population, there has been a strained peace among the surviving mythical creatures. But now, a strange fae illness is spreading across Callistra, and the era of harmony is crumbling fast. Pasiphae of Eo has been framed. Her grandmother, the most powerful witch in Eo, has fallen sick, and Pasiphae is suspected to be responsible. Forced to flee her homelands for treason against her coven, the only way to clear her name is to find the true traitor. Pasiphae has no choice but to venture deep into unknown territory with help from one of the fae. He can help her find the cause of the illness from within the Unseelie Court, where the walls talk and the shadows move, and she can do for him what the fae cannot do themselves: lie. But a conspiracy is unravelling in this foreign land swathed under perpetual night. All Pasiphae wanted was to prove her innocence, but within the heady darkness of the malevolent faery court, there is love and betrayal so potent it could ruin the world a second time.

In the sequel to Treachery Queen, the Seelie Court has declared its war on the world, and nothing will ever be the same. It has only been a week since Pasiphae of Eo entered a fake marriage alliance with the Seelie Crown Prince in a bid to forestall his mother's coming invasion on Medeis, Pasiphae's homeland. Now, those who were once enemies have disappeared into the shadows, while new contenders have clawed their way into power. Amidst the chaos, there is only one possible outcome that ends well for Medeis: Seth must have the Seelie throne, and Pasiphae takes it upon herself to ensure it. Meanwhile, Circe of Eo has turned diplomat. The Unseelie Queen knows that invasion is coming, and is desperate to snatch the Isles, where the humans make their home. To keep it from her grasp, the witches must conquer the land first, for the humans' own good. But the Isles has secrets of its own, and if Circe isn't careful, she may be swallowed by the rising tide. From a perilous journey into a country that kills all who enter, to a mission into the Seelie Court during its midnight sun, the two sisters will do anything to protect Medeis. Heads will roll, hearts will be broken, and if the world is to fall a second time, then so be it.

A thousand years ago humans landed on the shores of Clairval, seeking refuge from wars, famines and disaster and forged an uneasy truce with the wild Feysha. No one in the Kingdom of Clairval knows why the Feysha allowed humans to settle along the perimeter of the island, and the only proof that the Feysha even exist are the impassible Wilds in the centre of the island. Verana is about to change that. Feysha but more, she is sent from the Wild to warn the humans that darkness is coming for their island and remind them of the oath both parties swore to protect Clairval from what was to come. There are other powers, other kingdoms across the seas; some of them contain answers long hidden and some of them contain the enemies Verana was born to fight against, but she'll have to forge a truce not seen for a millennia before she can save the world. ****Copyrighted**** 'Tell me you don't feel it.' He whispered against my lips, and the trembling that had ceased at the feel of his lips against mine began again with renewed vigor. 'Tell me it's not what you want, and I'll go. You'll never have to see me again.' Swallowing, I looked up at the eyes that had entranced me from the start. I took in his every feature, slowly and deliberately. I thrilled at the feeling of his arms enfolding me, and I inhaled his familiar scent with a trembling breath. And then, then I did the most foolish thing imaginable: I flung my arms about his neck and kissed him with all that I had, almost losing myself in the safety and security I felt. But more than that, I ran. I took his moment of shock, the slight loosing of his arms about me, and tore myself away from him, shoving out the door and into the rain. I suppose I'll never know why he didn't follow me. It was the thing I feared most. I knew that if he came for me a second time, I wouldn't be able to say 'no'. I wouldn't be able to run. But I had to. I had to go. I couldn't let him be hurt because of me. He would live on now, and I would marry another. I had leased my last bit of passion in that one moment in his arms, and as I made my way through the dark streets, I felt myself become dull and lost like the creatures bound in the menagerie. **Much of this was written when I was younger and then I came back later and finished it. There will likely be mistakes. Lots of them.
