In the far future, Duel Monsters has taken a turn. Duelists no longer use the Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz Monsters due to them being forbidden from the game. Everyone now duels with green colored monster cards called Zeo Monsters. Yuko, the main hero, learns of the forbidden cards as he and his friends battle against The Legion, a organization who wants to shape the world into their own kingdom by using the forces of Water, Fire, Wind, Earth, and Chaos to destroy the current world.
