Henry Walker is an avid inventor who never had it easy. One day he receives a mysterious letter asking him to help work on an astounding project. Henry's life changes dramatically as he finds out he has been recruited to help create Rapture, a city that is to be built at the bottom of the Atlantic ocean. Inspired by the video game Bioshock, this is the tale of a man who helped create the beautiful underwater metropolis, and witnessed it's downfall.

1960. North Atlantic Ocean, 63° 2' N, 29° 55' W. The city is holding its breath. Shortly after civil war launched in the suboceanic city of Rapture, a young girl awakes to find herself in a world far from the scope of reality. Left to her own limited devices, Irvette is introduced to the genetically corrupted and bloodthirsty inhabitants of the city, including into the odd madman Douglas Ward. They launch a dubious partnership, armed with only a makeshift arsenal and hope for ascension. But as they battle Rapture's inhuman residents, they begin to realize the truth of how they got there, why the world is crumbling around them, and who they're truly fighting against.

In Rapture, Atlas never expected the untimely accident. He always figured his plans would be carried out the way he intended them to. Manipulation was his game and he was hellbent on winning. She stumbles upon the city of Rapture, where Atlas attempts to help both of them escape/survive the horrors of Rapture and the suspicions of Andrew Ryan. Along the way, Nadia discovers aspects of terror, deceit, and love, all of which will ultimately alter her life. (Slight AU with new characters and new plot elements, etc, but basically the same with only minor changes to storyline) *Spoilers also, for all the Bioshock games*
