The two of us sat around the beautiful tree in silence, admiring every detail of its existence, but still it did not feel like Christmas. Not without Daddy. Felicity's father was an army father and husband serving his country year round without much break. Although, he's rarely home for Christmas never does he forget Felicity. Every Christmas there would be a small box on her doorstep with some sort of present for her, but it was never actually the same as really having him there with them on such a magical morning. This Christmas Felicity receives a gift from her father like she usually does, but this time it's different, she receives a snow globe. You're probably wondering how exactly a snow globe is different. It's not that the snow globe isn't a normal present, but it's what's inside the snow globe. One shake of the beautiful glass and time is put to a permanent stop, transferring Felicity into the tiny decoration. At first the snow globe seems like a nice change from her reality, but what happens when she tries to get herself back out, to restart time and get back to her family? What will happen to the bonds she created inside her second home?

Pamela McCloud can make everything she wants come true. It’s like having a genie, minus the three-wishes-only rule, of course. All she has to do is say what she wants at night and when she wakes up the next morning, she’ll get it. As a teenager, she takes advantage of that ability and starts asking for all the superficial things she could think of. Popularity, friendship, love, pain, and a jumble of wishes make her a different person (and definitely not a better person). One specific event shows how much she’s changed and her wishes stop coming true. Wishing for her life to go back to the way it was at the beginning of the school year will not help this time. She needs to make it happen on her own.
