Water on mars? What if earth was our second chance? What if we had technology that could get us to a different planet before? What if we where the meteor that hit the earth? What if mars is now trying to fix its self? What if we as a species have always bounced back and fourth between mars and earth? What if the impact of our ship (the meteor) hit us with amnesia? What if we've already been here at this point where we are destroying our planet and looking for a new one to live on? What if our creator left us to figure this out? What if we're on our last chance?
