In the dark of the frigid night, the star in the east shines bright. At the behest of a mysterious client, a mercenary team infiltrates the Hermitage Museum to steal a 15th-century painting. What they find instead will not only shine a light on their destiny but bring hope to the future of humanity. "I enjoyed the shorter chapters and the information being easily presented up front! Your writing style makes it very easy to follow what's happening without slowing scenes down too much." -Aspecialhooman "The writing style and the plot, both are excellent. The story is captivating and keeps readers' attention throughout...the blurb is one of the blest blurbs." -Sofia7Elliott "The plot was good and the story was exciting. It was definitely unlike anything else that I ever read of Wattpad." -Violetta712 Awards: 1st place winner of the Time Turner Awards 2021, Science Fiction category. 2nd place winner of the Books and Beyond Awards 2021, Science Fiction category. 2nd place winner of the Botticelli Awards 2021, Action/Adventure category. 3rd place winner of the Seasonal Awards 2021, General Fiction category. 3rd place winner of the Big Dipper Awards 2021, Action/Adventure category. 3rd place winner of the Star Awards 2021, Action/Adventure category. Amberleigh had been recklessly traveling between realms for years (accidentally, of course) unsure of how or why she continually found herself in a world called Erivale. Stuck in a not so great situation in the human realm, she escapes by literally falling into Erivale once again - although this time is different. A mysterious man traveling with a pack of wolves snatches her from the edge of death and claims to know her history. He also wants the bounty on her head. Leave it to the cold-blooded stranger to not so subtly break the news - Amberleigh was an Elf. Of course, it couldn't just stop there; she was an Elven princess. Cue adventures, sword battles, etiquette lessons, and magic. Amberleigh will need all the help she can get to make it through. The world of Erivale isn't as magical as it seems, and a mystery is unfolding - one that threatens Amberleigh's life and the freedoms of those around her. The Lost Princess is returning to Erivale, and no one, not even she, is ready for what is to come. Currently being edited. The world is a cold place for Kilian Kilroy. Hunted, haunted, and alone, the former teenage superheroine makes her way across the American south and toward the Mexican border, in the hopes of escaping her would-be killer. It's just a real bummer for her, all around. Far away from anything she's ever known, Kilian finds herself tumbling headfirst into a world of narcissistic superheroes, otherworldly abominations, monster-hunting mercenaries, and strangely themed fast-food restaurants. In a world plagued by supervillains and Angels of a bygone age, is survival even a possibility for the one-armed wonder? Probably not. All she knows for sure is that, whatever happens, it'll be one hell of a roadtrip. New chapters once a week! ~~~ content warnings: gore, body horror, mentions of cancer, mentions of abuse

Joy. Meaning? A great pleasure or happiness. For Joy DeVries, her great pleasure comes hand-wrapped with secrets and murder. Joy DeVries grew up a childhood star, and it came with as much baggage and scars as one would imagine. Nowadays, she's known as Joy Daisy, a kids show TV legend, and that's all she'd prefer people to see. If they look any closer, they might get a glimpse of the lust-driven, alcohol-consuming, unhinged woman she really is. However, Detective Colin Rooker is determined to get to know the woman behind the make-up and frills. He's taken with her, and she's intrigued by him. The only catch to this whirlwind romance? Detective Rooker is chasing a serial killer. And she's closer than he thinks. *** February 2021 Wattpad Editor's Pick! In a society where morals are determined by a public opinion system, and social rating is the currency, truth can be a dangerous notion. Sixteen-year-old Rena has few memories of her childhood before adoption. The voice of the man who raised her. A forest teeming with wildlife. Mountains reaching up to a blue sky. The problem-they're not real. Such things don't exist in Esh, a self-governed metropolis shielded from the harsh environment by a transparent canopy. And beyond the city lie only the Barrens, an endless wasteland of fog and freezing rain. When Rena's violent instincts save the lives of her friends, her delusional past begins disrupting her prospects for the future. To find the source of her impulses, she'll have to sort through the fragments in her mind. What awaits is a connection between her true identity, the city's forgotten history, and the secret war being waged beneath the surface of her polite society.

**CURRENTLY A FEATURED STORY** highest ranking: #11 in Science fiction ❝true happiness is only achieved without freedom. There is a girl who wakes to a world that she was supposed to protect. Instead, she fights it. There is a man who is cursed with the ability to dream. A glass city is their cage, a city filled to the brim with unanimity and order, a paradise on an earth laid to waste by an artificial snowstorm. Sunlight filters through the glass buildings and through glass walls, pierces glass floors. It illuminates the city square when it is strongest at noon, surrounded by a huddled mass of citizens, all as perfect as the city they inhabit. And they all think: everything is as it should be. And it is. Or, it was. -- long live perfection.❞ (c)sarahgaier2016 #diverselit | #LoveEqualsLove | #helpfightcliches | #freethelgbtq | #badassreads check out my Science Fiction novella, Sector-33, here! https://www.wattpad.com/story/62174094-sector-33
