Hazel and her team in 10th grade will participate in a project called "Knowing Your Culture". This project requires the students to fly to a country or island in which their culture lives and thrives. The students will stay in their area for one month and during that month they will have to gather information, observe, and learn about their own culture. Hazel was put into the Polynesian section of her nationalities and was assigned to go to the island of Samoa. Hazel runs into problems, drama, and conflicts during her trip.
