Vic Fuentes has a strict policy against having anything to do with people such as strippers, prostitutes, and porn stars. He also has a raging crush on the quiet, mysterious Kellin Quinn. So for Vic’s eighteenth birthday, his friends decide to throw him a party with a special guest: a male stripper. Named Kellin Quinn.

In which Vic Fuentes is a twenty-one year old man diagnosed with schizophrenia living within a psychiatric hospital, and Kellin is an obnoxious twenty year old burnout who somehow finds himself in Vic's room every afternoon.

Lily Jones and Jaime Preciado; a match made in heaven, right? Well, somewhat. The only problem? Lily isn't who she says she is. Her brother is famous in the punk-rock community, and Jaime doesn't know it. Her last name isn't Jones. She's actually met Jaime before, and he doesn't remember it. She doesn't live in Florida. The only true things that she's told him are her name, age, that she has a brother, and that she's a big fan of the band Jaime's in. Will Lily finally let the truth come out, or will she hide behind all of the lies she's managed to built to shave her own heart from breaking?

Vic Fuentes never thought anything bad would happen to him. He had a pretty decent life; star-player of the soccer team at his high school, good grades, girls swooning over him. Vic never really took danger precautions seriously. One drunken night, he’s dared to go into the woods alone in the middle of the night while drunk to sleep there. That’s the night when his mindset about danger changed. Kellin Quinn-Bostwick was always the loner boy. His life was as low as someone’s life could get; abusive parents, bad grades, no friends. He was also openly gay. People never tried to tease him or taunt him about it; or about anything, for that matter. Everyone knew Kellin could kill–literally. He watches Vic and his drunken friends near the woods and decides, without thinking, how to ruin their night. He doesn’t know it yet, but Kellin only made Vic’s night better. Vic’s over-active imagination pictures Kellin everywhere he goes, until one day, he actually is with him. When Kellin escapes from prison, he, Mike, Ari, Tay, Zack, and Vic run away.
