Pinkies POV. "If you really care to know the truth, Fluttershy, I will tell you" I stated as I sighed heavily. I haven't told anypony the truth, the truth of how I got my cutie mark, the truth of how I met rainbow dash, how the cyan filly forgot all about our adventures in the mental hospital. I hadn't told anypony about the fact that I killed my father. How I fell in love. I had kept the story bottled up in me, thinking that the only way I could keep rainbow safe is if I hid the truth from her. But the truth was hard to contain, I felt it breaking at the walls within me, begging to be free, to be spilled across the floor. I played with my pink bouncy mane as Fluttershy stared at me with her azure eyes filled with concern. "Well, it all started on a rock farm..." When kids are young and full of innocent wonder, they're asked the question that will haunt them far into their adult lives: what do you want to be when you're older? Kyleigh Frost's answer to this very question was that she wanted to be thin. Ever since she could remember, all she wanted to do with her life is to be the skinniest girl out of everyone she met on the streets. If she couldn't be the brightest kid in her school or win the next cycle of America's Next Top Model, she might as well be the thinnest one there. After all, to be fat is the biggest sin one could ever commit in today's society.

When the popular kids at Westfield High School begin getting matching star-shaped tattoos, Chelsie doesn't think much of it. She's never been one to follow a fad. Besides, her circle of geeks have little hope of ever being popular. Before long, though, it's not just the cool kids showing up to school baring the cerulean blue stars. Encouraged by a popular boy to get inked, Chelsie's best friend Jayla can resist the rage no longer. One day, the girls are planning which Ivy League school to apply to; the next, Jayla won't even look in Chelsie's direction, and her biggest concern becomes matching accessories with those of her starred friends. Something is very wrong with those tattoos. Someone, or something, is using them to control her classmates. At first the "star students" seem weirdly docile. Then their behavior turns in a most horrifying manner. The closer Chelsie gets to the truth, the more likely it seems she'll find herself either under the needle or under six feet of dirt. Lilly Martin is not model-material, but Adam Hiller is, and it turns out he likes to wear dresses when nobody's looking, and is in fact not a 'he' at all. When their school announces a fashion designing competition, Lilly decides to kill two (or three) birds with one stone and: 1) Win the fashion competition by making the best dress Edgley High has ever seen. 2) Help Adam (who prefers Eve, thank you very much) come out as the girl she is. 3) Annoy the bigots.
