A wave of intense magic surges through me and my breath quickens. The blood pulses faster in my veins and my mind swirls as I transform involuntarily. I drop to my knees as pain radiates from every inch of my body. No one told me this would hurt so much. My bones pop and snap and rejoin into a new creature. Wings erupt from my back and I feel the scales cover my skin. My neck stretches and my jaw grows huge. I slide my tongue across the sharp teeth that emerge and I again try to open my eyes but they are still sealed shut.

A young girl awakes half dead and alone; she has no memory of her past, her family, or even her name. A near escape from death, a stranger's home, and the taunting of horrific dreams start her new life spinning on the road to recovery. And who is this infamous Midnight Mustang with a heart of stone and intelligence like no other that sparks her memory so vividly? When a sinister plot emerges, will girl and horse have the strength to put aside their hatred and unite together to escape fate's hard threat?
