❝When I met you . . . you're the first person in my life, besides my family, that treated me like a regular human being. You're my first friend and my best friend. I would be lying if I said meeting you wasn't most the most important day of my life. And the one that would end up eventually ruining it.❞-Annalise Martin. Annalise Martin's skies are painted darkly, filled with darkness from a life many would not wish to lead. Through a series of letters, Annalise hopes to find closure over losing her best friend and lover, Finland Erickson. But sometimes, we need a little bit of perspective to paint our own skies. “Well hey there, at least buy me dinner first.” I could feel Aaron's eyes burning through the back of my head as he stared down at me. Down. Towards his crotch. I was face to crotch with Aaron Cross. --- Life is full of Awkward moments; unfortunately for Blake Miller, her life is just one big Awkward moment. From being named Blake because her parents were expecting a boy, to walking in on her dad "wrestling" with her mother's sister. But when Blake's house gets damaged from a hazardous flood and they tear her house down brick by brick when they find a severe mold infestation, her life is about to pass the level of Awkward when they move in with her mom's current boyfriend and his insufferable son who just so happens to be her school's notorious star player -- and not just in sports. Blake's situation probably wouldn't be so bad if there wasn't a history between the two, and she will soon realize that not only will her past reveal itself, but so will the secrets kept hidden around her. [DISCLAIMER: i am aware that wattpad changed the rating to rated R, but that's only because of the excessive amount of swearing from the characters. other than that, this book contains mostly PG-13 material.] [humor #13 - 04/11/15]

❝run-on sentence - in which two independent clauses are joined without proper punctuation and conjunctions.❞ Ellie had always been an introvert. She would rather stay home to watch her favorite TV shows, cleaning out a jar of peanut butter and occasionally rereading Pride and Prejudice for the nth time while the rest of the world continued to socialize. Wes had always been good at making friends. He could buy some Gatorade at a convenience store and end up befriending the middle-aged cashier behind the counter or ride the bus and end up having fifty inside jokes with his seatmate before he gets to his stop. Together, they were like a run-on sentence: Two entirely separate thoughts colliding with each other to form a string of words, woven together together to form a chaotic kind of beauty. --- Cover by Kodie (@deadlier)
