Aurelia is a princess; a queen to be. She's rich, she owns every fancy dress a girl could hope for. Her parents will give her attention at the simple request for it. No siblings to compete with, no life to fight for. Yet, somehow, she hates her life with every fiber of her being. She hates the way her land is ruled, she hates the game she has to play. She'd rather live the life as a peasant, if she'd actually get to live it. Charis is a peasant. She's poor, her father is dead after a tragic accident. She has to support a large family, and perhaps the only stable thing she has in her life is her friend, James. But soon she finds James is leaving her too. She's a happy-go-lucky, who remains grateful for what she has. She loves her family, she loves her town, and maybe she loves James a little too. They are the most unlikely combination. But sometimes fate finds the oddest ways to bring destiny to life. It might include tears, fists, some romance, sore feet, torn dresses, confessed feelings, and an enourmous discovery but together these girls will help each other find themselves. The utter most inner thoughts and feelings of one who has but no other way to express them and therefore without a pen a paper she very much may spontaneously combust in an explosion of secrets bottled up for far far too long. : )
