It's been a decade since Lights woke up in the hospital. A decade since Adam escaped the factory, fleeing into the night. A decade since Dr. Henry Morgan left everything he could have ever cared about behind. But now, he's back in town, as clever, charming, and immortal as ever. Lights, who has gone on to become a part-time kendo teacher to pay back her student debt for medical school, isn't happy to see him. In fact, she has a lot of mixed feelings of negativity towards him. But there really isn't any time for that. Adam is back, with much more planned for Lights, Jo, and Dr. Morgan. As chaos settles over their lives, Lights needs to figure out how to balance the insanity of it all before she loses her residency, or, more importantly, loses her life. As Lights decides to make one final stab for the truth behind the Maverick, her father's death, and her mother's insanity, a terrible ultimatum falls into place - she can make or break her future, but it all depends on where her allegiances lie.
