The idea behind this 99 Poem Challenge group project is to build a folder of poems that are all completely different in style . The challenge is also to complete within a year and to be inspired and inspire others to try new styles. Within each poem itself there is a basic description of its type or style and any specific rules involved. Special thanks to @cristinaaragon for the cover design.

April is National Poetry Month!! To celebrate, I took up a challenge online, from one of those writer's community that really does publish books. Though I'm not planning on submitting it to be published, I still accepted the challenge. It's more like a personal challenge, to churn my thinking cap and crank my creativity machine. A Poetry Challenge Revisited This is for poets who want to learn about and write more challenging forms of poetry. For the next twelve months we will pick one type of poetry and write a minimum of one poem a week in that month's chosen style- preferably more. By doing this we will increase our abilities at poets and hopefully learn a bit more about ourselves in the process. Our reward will be our evolved writing skills and written record of the things we experienced along the way. It wont be easy- it's not supposed to be- but if you complete this challenge I guarantee you will be a better writer than you are now. So...How far will you go?

So, you want to write, do you? Maybe you've even published a few stories (or more than a few, I don't know your life.) It's not as easy as it seemed at first, is it? There are a lot of specific writing skills involved in creating a narrative that you might not have picked up in High School English class: that's where I come in.
