When Mollie starts to prefer the dreams she's having to the painful reality of life, she's forced to choose between embracing a fantasy or the man she loves. ***** Since she was seven, Mollie Cutright has known two truths: she loves Howard Flynn and her dreams are the most magical part of her life. Each day she suffers at the hands of her abusive parents, but each night she is surrounded by a loving family who call her by a different name. Growing up in 1930's Virginia, no one has patience for a girl who might be mad, so Mollie strives to keep her dreams (and how often they intrude on her reality) a secret. But when her secret comes out, Mollie is sent to an asylum, though not before she and Howard are secretly engaged. It is at the asylum she discovers the dreams are echoes of her past lives. *Completed* "I'm no Sea Heiress," I exclaimed. "I'm just one of Triton's warriors. I was sent here to salvage my overthrown kingdom, not become queen of this one." Soren's eyes trailed over me for a thoughtful second, before he suggested, "What if you were sent to do both?" Eighteen-year-old Ailith is a warrior of the overthrown Sea Kingdom, trained by Triton himself and sent to Land to seek help in order to reclaim the Sea Kingdom. However, when she arrives on Land and meets the two sons of Zeus, she learns that her presence is all part of a thousand-years old prophecy that claims she and Zeus's handsome son, Soren, King of the Land, are destined to fall in love. Ailith is careful as she stays at King Soren's court, trying to gather her resources to reclaim her overthrown kingdom. However, at the same time, she is trying to deal with her growing feelings for Soren, and the fact that she could--possibly--be Triton's Heiress: the Heiress of the Sea.
