Tsukumo Shiki was alone. Her parents murdered for her power. She was adopted by Kaien Cross, and met Yuki. Shiki was always distant, and knew Yuki's secret. She felt as if she must protect her 'new' sister, as they both went to Cross Academy. Shiki is treated like a normal vampire because of her sealed powers. She doesn't obey Kaname's commands, angering the aristocrats. She is always protecting Yuki, until Rido Kuran comes along, and breaks Shiki's seal.

Luna Kazumi was found by the pureblood vampire Kaname Kuran and saved her from a Level E trying to drink her blood. What Luna didn't know was that she was so precious to Kaname that he would go as far as to hypnotize into during whatever his heart desired for her. Kaname wouldn't lose you this time around to anyone and she wouldn't have a say in the matter if she didn't know what he was doing to her. "Elissa, are you hungry?" The headmaster asked her. She was another adopted daughter of Kaien Cross. Her and Yuki shared a past together, she knew that much. They had both been saved by Kaname Kuran. Yuki was always fond of him whereas Elissa found him suspicious. She wasn't sure at all whether he could be trusted. Yuki was Elissa's sister, they had been found together. Elissa was older than Yuki so she had been found trying to protect her as best she could. As soon as Kaname had shown up that day, Yuki had pretty much entrusted her life to him. She hadn't had much of an appetite recently. She hadn't been sleeping properly, Yuki had always been one for running off and getting into trouble.
