When she was twelve, Alice's life took a turn for the worse. Her best friend abandoned her, and her parents divorced, right before her father died. Her mother became an alcoholic, her brother turned suicidal, and her sister couldn't stand any of them. Despite being torn up on the inside, she had to stay strong and try to keep her family together.

I came back. Oh well, I guess I just have to try again.

I only wanted to get away

Why? I can't help but hurt you.

I'm fine mom. I'm okay daddy. I will only cry when you can't see.

I like to think that I saved their happiness, just by not dying.

I am the only one separate, the only one that stands out in a crowd of sameness. Pity no one can see.

They say they want the truth, but all they are is a lie.

This is a collection of poems about some kind of pain. I know, it's pretty morbid of me, but it's poetry. I did my best to imagine what these things would feel like, and I've shed many a tear over these. So please enjoy the fruit of my hard labor.
