This is in honor of all of the people who either died, are working, or used to work in the military, or as a firefighter, or as a cop. - - While at a church camp the theme for the week was heroes. My pastor came up to speak to everyone. His words about his time as a cop inspired me to write this, and it got me thinking: a lot of people hate cops, but they make the world a better place. I guess what I'm trying to do is to inspire people like my pastor inspired me. Please stop hating on them.

When are we going to stand with our police officers and say, "Thank you"? They stand in the frontlines so we don't have to. Law enforcement officers are the sheepdogs, holding back the vicious wolves from the sheep, often thanklessly. I wrote this open letter to police officers for the purpose of motivating them to continue in this important fight, keeping us all safe. Praying for you guys nightly! Thank you for everything you do!

#328 in Action on 6/22/17 What if your dream career became too dangerous? What if everyone you served spit in your face and threatened to kill you? But despite these things, what if you continued your dream job? What would make you want to give up? And most importantly, why would you keep going? These questions are sadly everyday questions for Brian and his co-workers. Many may hate him for what he chooses to do with his life, but that doesn't stop him. He'll go to great lengths to successfully continue what he loves. He is not easily defeatable. *** "The thin blue line. The only division between good and evil. You spit in our face and threaten our lives. We still come when 9-1-1 is dialed 24/7. We are sheepdogs. The front line. We are the police."

FIRE / RESCUE I invite you on a world wind tour through my career as a Firefighter. There’s everything from happy times to unbelievable horror and all of it is in the real world. The stories in my book are true. They are calls that I ran on over the course of my career. I’ve seen more than most, being that I was on two fire departments, taught as a state certified instructor, worked for an ambulance company and even worked in a trauma emergency room and ICU ward. There is a lot of death and destruction in the book. There is even times I got screwed over by my fellow Firefighters who I thought was supposed to be a family. All the while I was in it to help people and be the best Firefighter I could be. This is my story…

Working as a policeman in a very large city in the the USA was an amazing experience. Come along with me as I write about my time working in the murder capital. At family gatherings or with friends, people always say "tell me a story from work." Here are some of my best, all true to the best of my recollection. I hope you enjoy them.
