Storm was only a young kit when the forest she lived in with her mother Moon, and her brother Stone, burned down. Moon and Stone both died in the fire. Alone, Storm followed a river through unfamiliar landscape. But while Storm is traveling she notices that she has a strange connection with the weather. When she meets a rogue he tells her that she seems to be traveling pretty fast compared to most alone travelers. After a few sunrises, Storm finds a lake where clans of cats live.
