Set during the medieval times, dragons have become a rare sight. When the king's dragon lays an egg, King Nicholas orders the capture of its bond mate. Ariana was born bonded to a dragon named Fuego. The two of them grow up together and learn their unusual abilities while hiding out from the king. But one day an attack from another kingdom leaves Ariana an orphan and she is sent to the castle to learn more about her abilities and to train for war. Not only does Ariana have the privilege of sleeping in a luxurious master sweet but she also gains the affections of a handsome knight. The only problem is Prince Alan and his distaste for Ariana. With the threat of war, Prince Alan and Ariana have to put aside their differences and train their dragons to save their kingdom.

Most people fear dragons. Most people can't see past their large scales and fierce personalities. Most people can't control them. Yes, they're dangerous. They are also very powerful. Do I fear them? No. Can I control them? Only if I say please. And who am I? We'll just have to find out.
