Alexa Grey. Brandon Flemming. Sebastian O'Connor. Girl. Boxer. Fighter. --- excerpt --- A boy around my age was getting mercilessly beaten by someone with their back to me. I recoiled in horror at the sight of blood everywhere and the cracking of his ribs as punch after punch knocked through him. The boy must have noticed that I was there as he lifted his head, looking at me with a desperate plea for help. Then his attacker turned around and my eyes nervously met Sebastian's. Within milliseconds, anger overtook me and I stormed over. "Leave." Sebastian growled, barely even glancing at me as he pushed me straight into a brick wall. "Stop hitting him," I gasped, trying to get my breath back as I moved away from the wall. "Get out of here." There was nothing but stone cold harshness in Sebastian's voice as he ordered me once again to leave. "No." My breath had been regained and I was standing taller now, my confidence for some reason soaring. "I said," He spat out the words, turning away from the boy and towards me, "to get out of here." "Make me." I didn't even blink as I locked eyes with him, daring him to lay another finger on me. "Fine." Sebastian slammed me back against the wall, grabbing my bandaged wrist and twisting it. There was nothing I could do to hold back the small scream that escaped my lips as he applied more and more pressure. Yet I made no attempt to move away. "Don't touch him." I managed to say, desperately trying to keep my voice as smooth as possible. "I don't have to listen to you," He scoffed. "You don't. But you should." "Oh, and why should I?" Sebastian had visibly calmed down now, it was obvious. Even the tight grip on my wrist had loosened completely. "Because you're better than that." I replied softly, moving myself away from the wall and glancing down at the semi-conscious boy. "You over-estimate me then." With that, Sebastian dropped back and walked off without a single look behind him.

"Write down one word that describes you." psy·cho·path noun noun: psychopath; plural noun: psychopaths a person suffering from chronic mental disorder with abnormal or violent social behavior. ⌄⌃⌄⌃⌄⌃⌄ "I'm psychopathic..." Oliver muttered as he glared at me suspiciously and condescendingly. He was waiting for me to run away. Grinning widely to piss him off, I shrugged. "If you're a psychopath, then I must be a lunatic. Because I like you. And because of that, I'm not leaving." He'd watched me stand my ground because we'd surely been through way too much for me to give up now. A small smile spread through his emotionless facade and in a second, he was back to who I really saw him for. He let out a laugh, "Do you have a death wish?" { Watty 2015 Winner + Featured Story } Meet Sawyer Jameson. On the outside, she's a normal seventeen year old girl with amazing friends, a charitable job and a loving family. She's beautiful, funny and easy to get along with and just by looking at her, you'd think that she's the perfect girl, living in the perfect world. On the inside though, just waking up and living her day-to-day life is a struggle for Sawyer. Well, aware of this fact, Sawyer's mother forces to see a psychiatrist after school on a daily basis in order to cope with the tragic events Sawyer encountered a year prior. Now meet Graham Cambridge. Those who don't know him could easily stereotype him as being a blunt, selfish, egotistical golden boy, just because he likes to party and play football. Those who actually know him though know that he's actually quite the opposite of all of those things. When Graham transfers from his elite prep school to Sawyer's high school and quickly takes an interest in her, things go from bad to worse. At least, that's what Sawyer's convinced herself of. What people don't realize though is that maybe they were wrong about Graham Cambridge and that his life is about as far from perfect as they come and that he and Sawyer are alike in more ways than one. Two completely different teenagers that maybe aren't all that different after all are about to embark on a wild ride that neither of them could have ever expected. Can they help each other get past their demented previous tragedies? Or are their bygones too great to ever escape them? And can Sawyer ever truly be saved? Full of romance, heartbreak and just a little bit of fate, the next couple of months will challenge both Sawyer and Graham in ways they never thought possible. And maybe, just maybe, something beautiful will come out of it. © Copyright 2013 Millie Morgan. All Rights Reserved.

He had on oversized glasses, that made his face seem so tiny. But, even from back here I could see his blue eyes. He was wearing a red plaid shirt with a pair of skinny jeans, and completed the look with a pair of red Chuck Taylor's. He looked at my car in disgust, as he rolled out his bike. The first thing he said to me will always be imprinted in my mind, "Buy a pair of Doc Martens, and then we'll talk." Cover by @pawfectly
