It just felt like something I needed to do. "Uhm, I just . . . Wanted to say thank you. For your amazing daughter. You know, I only met you once but you never said anything bad about me or told Jamie she should leave me. You always convinced her to give me another chance. I never realized how much I actually owe to you. But, it's too late now. The only thing I can do now is keep my promise. I'll take good care of Jamie. I love her. She means everything to me.
