The earth has become a dead planet after 'The Cataclysm' turns the majority of the world into a plague-ridden wasteland. Nations and cities alike lie in ruin and bodies of the deceased litter the earth as do the flesh-hungry infected who now roam the cities and countrysides in search of fresh victims. In the midst of this lifeless world, I, Andy, am investigating a recording I uncovered during one of my scavenging trips. It tells of a rumored safe-zone somewhere in Germany, where life is as normal as can be, untouched by the deadly plague, though a little jarred from the quake. Though it sounds too good to be true, there's no other choice. The infected grow more and more numerous each day, and I can't stay in the U.S. forever. I'll have to rely on my wits, my knowledge of survival, and the dependency of other friendly survivors to see if the rumored safe-zone is really a safe-zone....or if it's already long gone.
