Each pedestal that the tributes start on is a candle. At the edge of the arena. Once the gong sounds the tributes have 5 seconds to get off their pedestal if they don't get off in time they will burn, then the candles will slowly melt the arena that is covered in frosting, and then slowly but progressively, the arena is so big that you have to run 20 miles to get to the cornucopia, but to protect yourself from others as you get closer to the center there are small daggers sprinkled across the arena like sprinkles.
