Doyle-Redmond] First book in The Paradox Nexus Nineteen year old Lukas, a Militsiyan officer, has a pretty average life for a vampire in Scythia, dealing with annoying co-workers, eccentric friends and the bossy upper-class alongside trying to control his blood lust, being mistreated because of his heritage, the usual. This was his everyday life until Charlotte appears, a girl who claims to be from Earth, he has been tasked with looking after her, as well as orphan Timothy and his crow, Scanlon. Not so bad, until everything seems to slowly crumbling down around him....
