This is a collection of short stories involving relationships, love and all of the trials and tribulations that make up life in general. Each new story is built off of the last story. Friends, family and lovers tell their tales.

My breath came in short pants and my heart took off at a staccato pace. I felt my skin warm and my blood tingle and this was all just from seeing him again. At first he looked shocked, and then his face turned to a mask of longing. I could hardly believe that I was standing here staring into the eyes of Zach, my Zachary. And then just as quickly a wave of anger washed over his face. I was taken aback by the intensity. He winked at me and then he did the unthinkable. He reached for the girl beside him and laid a kiss on her that would make the Madame of a whore house blush. I quickly turned away and ran off in the other direction. How could I have been so stupid to think that Zach would want plain old me after what I did to him three years ago? He was way to gorgeous to sit around and long for me the same way that I craved him. It was nothing more that just a stupid little girls fantasy, but dammit, why did seeing the truth of it have to hurt so much?

High school is hard for most people and for Chloe Miller, this is no exception. She is forced to learn the perils of her choices the hard way and the result leads her to building a steel wall around herself that is impossible to crack. Eventually, her mother loses her job and Chloe is then forced to move in with her cousin and their family. This means a new school and on the first day she arrives with a dynamite mission in mind. A mission to reclaim everything that she had once lost at the hands of others. She quickly finds herself fighting a past that she struggles to forget and creating a future that she can live with. It becomes a constant battle for her, centered around peer pressure, character stereo types, cliques and consequences. Couple that with the plight of falling in love and she finds herself playing a starring role in the game of life where everyone is playing for keeps. Will she win... or will she lose? Excerpt: Sauntering forwards, she slid onto his lap with all the grace of a prima ballerina and wrapped her long arms around his neck. Leaning in to his ear, she blew out a little puff of hot air so that it fanned lightly over all the right places. She felt a sense of utter satisfaction when he shuddered. Now that Chloe was certain that she had his attention, she whispered in his ear. “You may have been the best bucko, but guess what…..I’m going to be better.” She lifted up so that she could look him in the face and smiled confidently back at him. His previous cocky demeanor had seemed to have lost some of its earlier steam, “Who are you?” he asked so low that only Chloe could hear him. His forehead was creased as he searched her face, watching her as if she was some type of strange puzzle that needed to be solved. Chloe lifted her hand patted his cheek. The boy didn’t have a clue. “I, my friend, am your biggest adversary. So what do you say Mr. Player, won’t you play with me?”

Hope was born bearing the mark of the Lyric. She has known all her life about the odd shaped birthmark on the back of her neck but never knew what it truly stood for. Her eighteenth birthday arrives and strange things begin to happen causing Hope to rethink her priorities in life. Before her concerns centered around the simple life of any average high school teenager . Now, with her new found abilities and the discovery of a new friend in the most unlikely of places she decides that it is her time to finally make a difference. But as she sets out for a journey of a life time another group of people, the Special Forces, have a different plans for her. Will she succumb to their wishes or will she follow her heart and fight for the greater good?

A secret she had been harboring for as long as she could remember; the secret of her inner panther. She also learns that in this new town she lives in, she's not alone like she once thought. She just happens to live in a town filled with other feline shifters. Now the real story begins.

Raven thought she had everything in life that she ever needed including love, friends and happiness. In the blink of an eye a tragic accident can take everything away. Can Raven ever find her heart again?
