Keeping their friendship a secret will prove hard. But dealing with long forgotten secrets will prove even harder. Will Amber and Mangaran have the courage to face the truth? 'Ask me who I once was' is a story about love, friendship, family and sorrow. It's about Amber and Mangaran, and what's drawing them together. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The book is already finished - I'm currently working on the translation, and will post new chapters as soon as they are done. I really appreciate comments and votes! I'd love to hear your thoughts on the story! :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (Sample) There was something familiar about her. She was dressed in a simple gray cotton dress and a pair of worn-out sandals. The woman was beautiful, but radiated uncertainty. Mangaran smiled. She was cute; continuously twiddling with her mug while waiting for the discussion between her friend and Igor to stop. As she stood with her weight on one foot, her hip seductively pouted towards him. Mangaran immediately scolded himself for what he had been thinking. "I've just met with the woman I wish to spend the rest of my life with, and just hours later, I find myself gazing upon another woman. What am I doing?" Delany and Finn -- a poet and a rocker were the perfect pair. She penned beautiful lyrics which he set to music until her parents ruined everything senior year by packing up and moving across the country--leaving Finn--and a huge piece of her heart in California. Five years later, Delany holds fond memories and often thinks of him and his band Stay Tuned, until charismatic Finn shows up at the club where she works and makes a plea for her to return to songwriting again. He explains that Starlight Records, one of the biggest labels in North America wants to sign his band on one condition: her. They want the same songwriter who worked on the demo tracks which Finn and Delany recorded in high school. No exceptions. No replacements. No compromises. Can Finn convince Delany to take a chance on a dream she thought she'd given up a long time ago?
