2050: The year of the apocalypse. Treaties don't always mean peace. When one battle ends, many more find their beginning. As an epic power struggle surfaces among world leaders, one group of Superiors find themselves unwillingly drawn into the conflict. As one child receives news of his long-lost sister, the search for her may lead him and his friends into a realm of danger that not even the most talented can escape. A ragtag group of teens is invited to attend the summer Performance Institution for Talented Youth, or as some call it, PITY. They each travel to the mysterious Murray Mansion to begin their studies, but the experience is not what they were expecting. The place is run by silent maids who look almost exactly the same as each other, and the students almost never see the elusive, card-obsessed owner of the mansion, J. Q. King. And when even stranger things start happening, the teens have to put their heads together and find out what exactly PITY is and why they of all people were summoned there.

While the past, present, and future seem to haunt different members of the group, these may be the very least of their worries. Decisions will be made, for better or worse, the outcomes of which could leave the group lost in a sea of chaos. Old acquaintances pose deadly threats, and no one can anticipate the dangers lying in wait around every corner. It is a time of despair, yet a time of courage. In an era where only the strong survive, who will continue to move forward, and who will give up on the fight entirely? Written from February to October, 2017.
