No one was in the waiting room but her daughter, crumpled up in a ball in one of the chairs, crying. Her long blond hair covering her face that she had between her legs. Her jeans were ripped and her sweater was covered in blood but she only had minor injuries, her mother on the other hand…. They said she may not make it. I walk over to the small girl and wrap her up and do something I promised I wouldn’t do….. I cried. Right there in the hospital waiting room, I cried.
