Five years have passed since the Secondaries took the world by storm, ruthlessly killing humankind and vampires alike. Now, hidden in the shadows, Bogdan must band together with an unlikely group of companions to restore justice to the world and save the only man who has ever truly made him feel alive. Bogdan believes rescuing Finn is his final test - the one which stands between him and his happily-ever-after. Unbeknownst to him, a more powerful test begins to unfold, pushing him to the brink of emotional sanity as he tries to solve the riddle: How much are you willing to fight for the one you love? **Note: This MXM novel is the third and final installment of The Consort vampire series. Because each novel picks up where the least leaves off, it is best to read the first two novels prior to reading this one. Thank you and enjoy!**

At first glance, nobody would be able to tell that Nathaniel Jean had a problem. Or second glance, or third, or fourth. After all, he had everything. He was a captain of his school's soccer team and one of the top players in the state. He had a big house and money to spend. He had family, he had friends, he had fun, he had faith. He never meant for it to happen. He never wanted to look at another man in the way he should have been looking at a woman. The idea had disgusted him for most of his life - living in a heavily Catholic town with heavily Catholic parents, homophobia was the only response he knew. That didn't change when he first realized that he didn't like girls. No, Nathaniel Jean was still homophobic. He hated the idea of a man sleeping with another man. He was raised on the notion that all gays went to hell, and he believed it. He despised them, and so he despised himself. Nathaniel Jean was more fortunate than most, because help did arrive for him. Help by the name of Lucas Morgan, they boy he'd always known but never known. The boy with big dreams and bigger talent. The boy that changed Nathaniel's life over the course of their thirty-six week long senior year.

"Alec, you're drunk and confused. You don't want this," he said, but didn't try to move away. I could feel his breath on my lips, only a few inches separating our bodies. I looked up at him, the dim lighting making his eyes the deepest midnight blue, and he was staring down at me. "I don't know what I want." Then I leaned in and kissed him. "What did she say?" I asked, cutting him off. It was then that he turned to look at me, and I couldn't look away. The way his blue eyes gazed into mine; the way he looked at me made my breath catch. There was something about Dylan Lewis that had me trapped. No matter what I did I couldn't get away from this feeling inside me. I didn't know what it was, but it was a feeling I could get addicted to. "She told me not to break your heart," he said softly. In that moment I knew what Kelly had known from that morning when I told her what had happened. He could break my heart eventually if he wanted to, and I would probably let him. ......... Alec Brook got a week of detention for an incident involving a fist. There he met Dylan Lewis. With a new friendship, unexpected feelings emerge that leave Alec questioning his relationship with his girlfriend, family and friends. (Edited version of my original story 'Detention Boys')

"You know what I think?" Harry leaned across the table. "I think you're afraid. You don't take risks like us Gryffindors." He scoffed. "Please, you Gryffindors are all wand-waving and no spell." Harry grinned, settling back into his seat. "Not me. I always follow through." "Prove it." Harry stood up and walked around the table. He leaned over Draco, one hand no his chair and the other on the table. Their faces were a mere inch apart, so close that Draco could see flecks of brown in his emerald eyes. "I don't see any follow-through," Draco taunted. And then Harry kissed him. Harry's hands fell to his shoulders so quickly that Draco teetered on his seat. Draco reached up and grabbed Harry's shirt in an attempt to catch his balance which resulted in the two boys falling to the ground with Harry on top. Harry's cheeks were red with embarrassment as he tried to get up. All he managed to do was knee Draco in the leg. Draco put his hands on Harry's hips. "Stop. Let me." In one fluid motion, Draco flipped them around so he was kneeling above Harry. "And for future reference," Draco smirked, bringing his lips down to brush against his. "I'm always on top."
