SEQUEL TO ALIVE Phil's life is in shambles. A third year university student, he lives a less-than-extraordinary life: ignoring calls from his ex-best-friend, working in a local shop, and sleeping around to forget the one thing always on his mind: Dan Howell. They say that when coloured photographs, films, and television sets were created, life was put into a very different perspective. They say when Phil Lester met Dan Howell, their lives were also put into a very new and scary perspective. Friends turned enemies and strangers turned lovers, the 1950's are a decade of new beginnings and change in faith. But as the old cliche says, love conquers everything... right?

Dan is different. He's learned to accept that. Well, as best he can anyway, considering he's never really had much of a choice. It's been this way for as long as he can remember, the constant runaround process of trying to feel normal. His life is built around it, trying to trick both himself and everyone he interacts with into seeing him as your average person. The isolation as he desperately tries to keep others from finding out, the bitterness that wells up inside of him each and every time he's reminded that he'll never be like everyone else, the fear that nothing will ever change. He's fated to be this way forever; a misfit from society. Isolation can only go so far though, so when he's struggling to make ends meet and he's faced with the option of looking into a serious job or taking on a roommate, he opts for what seems like the easier option at the time. It doesn't seem so easy ten failed roommates into the process, or when he sits down at a table to meet with prospect number eleven and ends up with a coffee spilled all over his lap. Potential roommate number eleven, Phil, turns out to be an insufferable optimistic ball of sunshine that Dan wants nothing to do with. His options are running out though, as are the savings he's been using to pay his rent, so he finds himself begrudgingly agreeing to let the other man move in. Neither of them have any way of knowing just what they've gotten themselves into as they shake on the matter, but time will tell.

Dan Howell is invisible. That's all he knows how to be. Terrified of standing out, he is happy going unnoticed by his peers, finding company in only the old rock and roll songs on his iPod. But Dan's life is turned upside-down when a boy in his drama class takes him under his wing, introducing him to a world of excitement he never could have imagined. Phil doesn't talks. Well, not anymore. The last time he said something, was when he didn't hate himself. And that was a long time ago. But now, everything is different. He must struggle with depression, whilst new boy Dan Howell desperately attempts to win him over. [Warning: this could be triggering at some points]

Phil doesn't have a best friend in his life. That is, until Dan turns up at his school. They become close and Phil finds out that Dan has a twin brother, but hates to talk about him. It's not until Phil comes over to Dan's house that he finds out why.

Phil starts getting cute, little messages from a secret admirer and gradually feels himself falling more and more in love with the boy. But can you really like someone you've never seen before? And what will happen when Phil finds out the real identity of his admirer?

Dan has never had a friend in his life, and he wouldn't really want to change that. With him being the reason for his dads death and his constant battle with schizophrenia it's not like anyone could make his life much better. When Dan can no longer pay the bills for his place he's forced to find a flatmate. But when phil moves in with him things definitely don't go as Dan planned. (WARINING: there will be some smut and dan will end up having some episodes and bad thoughts but ill let you know before hand in case its triggering to you)
