Book One of the Scary Tales The zombie sequel to Snow White begins where the classic fairy tale ends, with the Prince’s kiss waking Snow from her cursed slumber. Snow wakes up, but she doesn’t wake up right. Now a deranged zombie, Snow infects both the Prince and the seven dwarfs’ leader. That leaves the young dwarf Grouchy, who is secretly in love with Snow, to find a cure for her malicious curse. So begins an epic journey that pits the lovesick Grouchy against dwarf-hating human soldiers, Snow’s ever-growing zombie horde, and his own bad temper. But when Grouchy and his motley crew of survivors escape Snow’s clutches and seek refuge in a nearby human village, he soon finds that her affliction has spread faster and further then he ever could have imagined. Snow is hell-bent on spreading her horrid curse across the land, and it’s up to Grouchy to stop her before it’s too late. (The Triumvirate Histories Book Four) What does the world think when a girl who'd been dead for three months turns up at the site of a huge CIA raid, which ended up with an explosion and four deaths? That she might have been in a stickier situation before than they'd known. What did they think would happen when she had a major panic attack after she realized that everything about her was gone, locked away in her mind? Well, obviously what did happen...or else they wouldn't have been prepared to knock her out again with morphine. And just who would that girl be? Me, Emmy Alexander...at least, that's who they told me I was. You know the stories of people with amnesia after a traumatic accident. They don't remember weeks, months, or maybe even a few years of their lives. I'd call them lucky, because they at least had a foundation to build on. Me? I couldn't remember a thing when I'd woken up after they'd knocked me out after my panic attack. I couldn't remember me, my family, my best friend, how I'd gotten the burns and cuts that now marred my body... I couldn't remember whose green eyes haunted my dreams every single night. My therapist said that my memories might come back in my dreams, when my subconscious mind was free to be revealed. And so far, she'd been right. Parts of my life were slowly coming back to me - my father's laugh, my mother's smile, my brother Jason's and best friend Drake's annoying overprotectiveness. But there were others that I couldn't explain - a tale of secret societies, puzzle keys, bronze boxes, and break-ins to museums and government buildings around the world. It wasn't until I saw those eyes on a man, who seemed so familiar that it made my heart ache, from across a gallery in the Louvre. A man who introduced himself as John Raymond. And it didn't take me very long to realize that maybe, just maybe, he was the key to everything.

The country of Garowain used to be a land of chivalry, honour and bravery. But that was the past. At some point, the knights, protectors of the people, turned into thugs. The just kings turned into tyrants. The dragons almost disappeared, leaving behind only a few human ancestors with a trace of dragon blood. In this world, there are three people whose paths are destined to intersect: a young prince, a draconic human and a mysterious wanderer with a hidden past. ---- Content warnings: violence, war, character death, prejudice between species and cultures, mention of trauma, captivity The picture of scales on the cover was uploaded to Pixabay by a user called sipa. Dante leans in, his cool breath against my cheek. “Acceptance is the first step to overcoming misfortune.” Misfortune was a light way of describing my current life. “I got a proposition for you,” he says as I felt a shiver race down my back. I looked at him curiously, “And that would be?” Dante looked over at the far a corner where there were a few classic 1940’s wooden pool tables. “I win, you unwind yourself through whatever measures.” I withheld a smartass response, “And if I win?” “Your misfortune will be no more,” Studying Dante I murmured. “How can you guarantee such a thing?” “Because I’m awesome,” Dante says with a smirk. A handsome half smile, that made me want to press my lips against his. Ugh, I’m dancing with the devil. “Or, are you not so familiar with the game?” “If I choose not to play it’s because one, I have a date and secondly I just don’t want too.” “Or,” adds Dante. “There’s a tiny, mental acquisitiveness that you can’t get rid of when it comes to me, and it makes you want to avoid whatever this is. At all costs." Ding, ding, ding! Dante hit the jackpot. I refused to let it show that he was right on target. Dante continued, starring deeply into my brown eyes. "However, you may simply suck at pool and don’t want to be shamed.” I tried my best to hold in every emotion that was bubbling inside of me. It was a mix of excitement and fear. Hot and cold. Night and day. Such contradictions I can’t think straight. Struggling to hold in my composure, I said meandering pass Dante and towards the pool tables. “I’m a goddess,” He said following behind me, “Cocky little vixen.” “Not cocky,” I said over my shoulders. “I told you, I'm a goddess when it comes to pool. I'm untouchable.” - - - - - Copyright 2014 Shelique Lize and I mean that legally. Cover Art Work is Alan Shaprio This book is rated PG-13, however there maybe strong language and some sexual scenes!
