The next, she was in the arms of the man she called sensei, flying through trees in incredible speed. His face was horror stricken. He kept on opening and closing his mouth, not knowing what to say. He dodged kunai left and right while shielding the tiny body in his arms the best he could. "Why?" He finally asked in a broken whisper. Pain in his voice, his face but mostly his eyes. A bitter, painful smile spread on Sakura's young face. Her eight-year-old body trembling in pain. "He was going to kill you after taking your eyes. I couldn't let him do that. You're one of my special people. I promised myself I would protect you no matter what." His heart twisted in pain after hearing her reasoning, not knowing whether to be proud or angry at her for not abandoning her ninja way. "Sakura-chan... " He said with that same broken whisper and said girl, unable to keep her eyes open any longer, allowed the claws of darkness drag her into unconsciousness the same time her and her sensei's bodies were engulfed in a bright green Susanoo.

It felt like she had swallowed the galaxy. Everywhere she looked, she saw stars. Planets and moons and constellations. Comets, meteors, and all the like. The vastness of space is nothing that she has ever thought of and feared before, but now it was all too easy to be sucked into the deep nothingness. She was aware that she was still in the mortal world-her hands dug into the soft dirt, ripping up fragile grass while the wind whispered across her face-but she saw the unknown. The world was big, so very, very big. It stretched across her mind like a membrane of spiderwebs, making the impossible a known word.
