Four years had passed since the death of Manny Noceda. Their mom, Camila, was struggling to get by, never home and constantly in and out of the hospital taking up shifts, the youngest daughter, Luz, was barely ever able to keep out of trouble at school and struggled to fit in, and the oldest, Lucía, was in constant arguments with her mom until she finally packed up all of her things in the night and ran away from home six months ago. The only thing left behind was a letter with the words "I'm making this house worse and worse" written in it. Now, Luz attending a "Reality Check Summer Camp" was supposed to make everything better, everything normal. But after running off that bus to camp to chase after her one prized possession, her Good Witch Azura book, one thing led to another and now she had ended up in some old, isolated, and hidden town named the "Boiling Isles." Everything had changed since the death of their papá. Balancing guilt, trying to conform, broken relationships, and more, it felt impossible. There were lies, secrets, and entire lives hidden from one another, and it was only a matter of time before something or someone finally unraveled it all. "I'll never be good enough for you," she said.

An illustrated novel following Neville, Ginny, Luna, and the D.A. through the 1997-1998 school year at Hogwarts. Will Dumbledore's Army succeed in fighting back against the reign of Snape and the Carrows? *** "If you have the time to read a full length fanfiction, this one takes the cake. Andrew Blake provides a detailed accounting of the events at Hogwarts during the seventh year of the story and enthralls readers with descriptions of unparalleled depth. The book expands on the character development of nearly every character in the school from the heroic yet self doubting Neville to courageous and loyal Ernie Macmillan. You will find yourself in tears at least a couple times and won't leave until you've read every last word. " This story involves language, violence, gore, and death. The story proves to be much grittier than Rowling's PG-rated version, unflinching at the horrific realities of war and tyranny. But if you admired Harry, Ron, and Hermione's heroism in Deathly Hallows - wait until you read Dumbledore's Army and the Year of Darkness. The remarkable selflessness of these ordinary teenagers turned soldiers will take your breath away. *** This novel belongs to Andrew Blake, aka Thanfiction, not me. I just wanted to share this incredible story with the Wattpad community :) Fandom: Harry Potter Author: Thanfiction Genre: Adventure/Drama Rating: Mature Status: 249,100 words, 25 Chapters. There is no night in the Everburning City. There can never be. ***** For four hundred years the Everburning City has withstood the advance of the life-strangling fog known as the Gloam. Its walls have held back five invasions, but on the eve of the sixth, the city's inhabitants know things have changed. Golems are coming out of the mist, and the bodies of the dead are rising at the Gloam's bidding.
