"Could you really love two different people at once? Could you split your heart in half?" The topic of love had always seemed like a foreign subject to me. I didn't really think I have ever been in love. Of course, I loved someone, but not the kind of love that made me feel butterflies inside. Then suddenly, the love was there. It was real and rare, but far more complicated.

Every generation has stories of heroes and how they save the day from evil threatening the world. For an ever expanding group of young adults, this is how they live their lives. They track down new super humans and recruit them to join the House of Heroes, known to the public as the House of Rejects, a place for troubled teens. Their enemies, The Shade, are also looking for new members. The two sides constantly get into fights which escalates into a war in the future. Aegis is from that future and he hates it. He hates all super humans, villains and heroes alike, despite being one himself. In order to right the wrongs of the past, he goes back in time seventy years. He wants to destroy both the House of Heroes and The Shade to stop the destruction of the world, but what will he do when he joins the House of Heroes and comes to care for each member of his team? The time traveler, the speedster, the shifter, the witch, the quick-draw, the Avery, the elementals, and the psychic. This rag tag group of heroes must join together to stop The Shade, but nothing is ever that simple.

2 months have gone by. Two months of pain. Two months of confusion. Two months of heartbreak. But does anyone really know what happened during those two months?

Jenna Black is a girl that struggles with social anxiety and likes to draw, and there's nothing interesting about her at all. You probably wouldn't even notice her walking by or maybe you wouldn't even know she exists at all, until she would run into you. She lives a plain life, avoids people and is fine with that. Until one cold December evening she bumps in to a man that took her drawing as an album cover three years ago and said something that made her stay alive just for a little bit. Though she still doesn't believe that she's worth the place on earth. Will he succeed to convince her?
