Many see him and think he is simply a talented individual who hasn't seen a bit of struggle or a hard day in his life. Everyone knows of Link, the Hylian Champion who will fight along with the four other Champions against Calamity Ganon, but does anyone know how Link came to be that great Hylian Champion in the first place? This is my head-cannon story of BOTW Link's childhood and life before becoming Zelda's appointed knight. It is not cannon from Nintendo, and you can't prove it right, but you can't prove it wrong either! The Legend of Zelda and most of the main characters are owned by Nintendo, but the actual story and some of the other main characters comes from my imagination. Sydney's a budding master of Light Magic, but she's so shy, she can hardly speak! Being secluded in the mountains for most of your life will do that to you. Fortunately, Sydney has one person she can always rely on: The man who took her in as a child and taught her everything she knows in the field of magic. Unfortunately, her master has also disappeared! In a journey that will span the entire kingdom, Sydney sets out to find her master and uncover the truth behind his mysterious disappearance... and maybe get over her crippling social anxiety in the process!

Another installment in Sydney's journals. As she travels through the wetlands of Aigne, known as "The Deluge", she recounts an old tale she had heard during her time spent there. It's a fairy tale of sorts about a strange little girl and goal to keep a small candle aflame.

Sydney is a wanderer who spends her days traveling from place to place, collecting stories and having experiences of her own, which she records down for an unknown purpose. During an unplanned visit to a small abandoned village, she witnesses a tragedy that fell there six years prior.

Sydney travels the kingdom of Aigne writing stories. Some she collects from adventurers, others she experiences herself. In the small town of Canyon Cliff, she'll find one more story to write during her travels.
